Business Licence

In order to run business in Ontario, and to comply with federal, provincial and municipal regulations, small business may need a variety of licences and permits from different levels of government.

Additionally, small business may need to comply with other regulations or obligations that do not involve permits and licences.

Liquor Sales Licence

A Liquor Sales Licence is required to allow the sale and service of alcohol to the public for on-site consumption. In Ontario, venues such as bars, restaurants, hotels, clubs, taverns, grocery stores, big-box stores and convenience stores are required to hold a liquor sales license to serve and sell alcohol.

Only owners  of a business may apply for a license. The business must be registered with the government, and businesses run from a private home and unregistered businesses are not eligible for a liquor sales license.

Trademark

Protecting a brand and the products and services it stands for is critical to  future sales. Trademark is an important part of  brand, and registering it gives owners the exclusive right to use it to sell their products and services.

If  business owners do not protect trademark, a competitor could use it or something similar, which could confuse their customers.

Criminal Record Check

A Criminal Record Check is a vital process used to verify whether an individual has a history of criminal activity. This check is often a requirement for employment, especially in positions that involve trust, such as in schools, government, or handling sensitive information. The procedure helps organizations ensure safety and integrity within their operations by screening potential employees, volunteers, or other individuals.
